Trinidad and Tobago Licensing Rounds 2012
The Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs of Trinidad & Tobago (MEEA) has publicized 36 nominated open deep water blocks. Of those, six blocks will be selected by MEEA and are expected to be put for auction in the 2012 Competitive Licensing Round under a Production Sharing Agreement.
The 2012 Licensing Round is tentatively set to open on 26 March 2012 and close on 30 July 2012.
According to MEEA the six blocks to be offered will be located in the East Coast Marine and Trinidad and Tobago Deep Atlantic Areas. The areas comprise of different water depths, hydrocarbon play-types and production potential.
Well and seismic data concerning the upcoming Licensing Round is already available and can be accessed in MEEA’s Data Room headquartered in Port of Spain, subject to to an advance appointment.
