Eastern Canada 10-02 Lease Sale results   

The Nova Scotia Department of Energy (NSDOE) has announced the results of the 10-02 Lease Sale. No bids were received.

The call for bids, which closed 22 March 2011, featured three onshore parcels totalling roughly 830,000 acres on the north coast of Nova Scotia. The tracts of land straddle the Magdalen and Appalachian Foldbelt basins which hold a relatively high potential for natural gas production. While the area is home to some oil and gas exploration and mineral extraction operations, it remains largely under explored.
