Eastern Canada NS09-1 Lease Sale results

The Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) has announced the results of the NS09-1 Lease Sale. The call for bids closed on 24 June 2010, with no bids having been received. The Lease Sale featured two parcels, which are located within the Sable Subbasin in water depths of less 100 metres. The two blocks, which total an area of roughly 450,000 acres, lie 150 miles off the east coast of Nova Scotia surrounding Sable Island. Both parcels are adjacent to a number of significant discoveries as well as multiple producing gas fields.
