This edition includes:

View Russian auction activity with On-call cartography

This year, Russian authorities plan to auction 239 blocks with average reserves of 33 mmbbl of oil and of 2.1 tcf of gas. An additional 160 blocks, containing reserves of approximately 7.3 mmbbl, will also be made available.

We are providing coverage of this activity through our On-call cartography service. This service enables you to order customised upstream maps, tailored to meet your specific information needs.

Latest upstream wall maps

We are pleased to present the latest Eastern Canada wall map, which was released this month. This map forms part of our popular series of A1 wall maps, which are available for you to download and print from our website.

Alternatively, to request an A1 printed copy please fill in our contact us form stating clearly which maps you require.

Our collection of maps illustrate the extent of PetroView's coverage in specific regions and the depth of information available within each.

New PetroView layers

Brazil

The ANP_Contract_Blocks layer has been added to the PetroView Brazil dataset. The layer is a supplement to the blocks layer, showing adjacent cells/blocks grouped by ANP contract number and will be updated every two months.

North West Europe

Four new layers have been added to PetroView North West Europe, which are accessible via the catalogue:

UK 24th Offshore Licensing Round - this layer (UK_OFS_24RND_ANN) shows the 1,409 blocks and part-blocks on offer in the UK 24th Offshore Licensing Round.

Strategic Environmental Assessment Areas - this layer (SEAs) depicts the areas, as defined by the DTI, and contains information on the type of licence available for application in each area.

Irish Slyne-Erris-Donegal Frontier Licensing Round - blocks applied for in the Irish Slyne-Erris-Donegal Frontier Licensing Round are recorded in this layer (IE_OFS_SEDRND_APP).

Danish Sixth Licensing Round - blocks to be awarded in the Danish Sixth Licensing Round, including information on the consortium partners and the percentage interests, are detailed in this layer (DK_OFS_6RND_AWD).

Jakarta 2006 International Geosciences Conference and Exhibition - August 15-16, 2006

We are exhibiting at the Jakarta 2006 International Geosciences Conference and Exhibition, being held at the Jakarta Convention Centre. The conference theme is “Advances in Geosciences Technology to Enhance the Optimization of Resource Utilization”. The conference is an opportunity to exchange information about technology advances from around the world.
