LNG in Russia: Today and Tomorrow
The aggregate level of world LNG trade has continued to expand in recent years – with over 10% growth in 2000 followed by 5-6% annual growth in subsequent years. In this article, Yuri Birchenko and Giles Clifton outline planned LNG projects in Russia and identify the emerging market opportunities.

Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber oil and gas survey
There is increasing evidence of a sustained upturn in the industry following a period of major structural change raising questions on the ability of the sector to cope with new demands and increasing volumes. Business confidence has continued to rise, with both producers and contractors remaining optimistic about developments in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).
This third survey, conducted by the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde's Fraser of Allander Institute and sponsored by Deloitte, highlights that the oil and gas sector is likely to see a continued increase in activity in the coming year.
The survey’s main objective is to reflect and represent the views of the oil and gas sector encompassing differing interests.
All three surveys are available on our website.
