About the course leaders
Ian Thomson
Ian has 30 years of relevant experience in the industry and specialises in strategic, commercial, market and transmission aspects of gas, oil and power. He has a detailed understanding of regulatory and institutional aspects of the gas industry gained from advising governments and corporations throughout the world. Ian worked at BP for 17 years, managing large oil and gas transportation, storage and supply projects. Since 1993, Ian has worked as a consultant.
Andrew Knights
Andrew has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
with Total, where he was latterly their gas regulation manager. He has
been closely involved in commercial, technical and regulatory matters
throughout the gas value chain as well as emergency response management
and interfacing with the Government, government agencies and regulators.
Andrew has been a consultant since 2004.
